Yanga host Mbeya City in a Mainland Premier League match at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam this afternoon.

If the host side wins today it will further boost their chances of winning the title as they will reach 46 points.

Yanga who hit Coastal Union 8-0 in their last Wednesday game will be in their last premier league game before facing Etoile du Sahel next Saturday in a Confederation Cup match at the same venue. Yanga coach Hans van der Pluijm said today’s game will be tough, also admitting that Mbeya City was a good side as well.

The Jangwani Street outfit will likely use the services of Amissi Tambwe and Simon Msuva upfront, lately competing in goal scoring.

Tambwe scored four goals in their game against Coastal Union while Msuva tallied two to bring his score to 13 goals in the league.

Msuva is among players competing for the golden boot this year.
City has been a tough side especially when it plays top teams like Yanga, Simba or Azam FC.

The team’s head coach Juma Mwambusi insists that they have prepared well to face their opponents and the results will be known after 90 minutes.

City drew 1-1 against defending champions Azam FC in their away match staged at the Azam Complex in Chamazi.

Yanga defeated City 3-1 in the first leg game played at the Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya.

City are placed eighth with 25 points.
