Dubbed; ‘Liberation 2015’, the programme is meant to encourage
people to contribute money for the party activities ahead of General
Elections in October, this year.
Speaking at the launch of the programme here over the weekend,
party’s secretary for the northern zone, Amani Golugwa, told reporters
that the programme is going to be non-stop until November 1, this year.
“As opposition party, our target is get power through ballot boxes
in October, this year. And this is going to be redemption to
Tanzanians,” he boasted.
He further stated that the money which is going to be contributed will be used for this year’s elections.
He appealed to Tanzanians to seriously take part in the programme which is meant to change the country’s leadership landscape.
According to Golugwa, the money which will be collected would be
used for buying vehicles, music equipment, computers as well as funding
for chopper transport and other facilities.
He said the programme is going to be countrywide one and is going
to be executed by M4C ambassador for the northern zone, Thobby Mushi.
“Our target is to get not less than 100,000 people, who every month
would be able to contribute 1,000/-,” the party official said, noting
that the names of all people who would contribute for the party will be
in the party’s special database.
