Speaking during a short prize giving ceremony to winners of the bank’s promotion dubbed ‘Shinda Passo na Sim Banking, he said using alternative banking channels like Sim-banking allows quick access to all banking services and saves time.
He took the opportunity to highlight the bank’s variety of alternative banking services like SimBanking and Fahari Huduma which enable customers to access services anytime and anywhere without having to visit its branches.
He commended customers for positively responding to the campaign, saying the bank would announce winners each month during the one year campaign.
Among winners who scooped prizes yesterday was a treasurer with the Mzumbe University in Morogoro, Bayinga Majeshi (40), who was awarded a Toyota Passo. Other winners were awarded solar panels and smart phones.
The first winner, who gave his single name as Majeshi, said the secret behind winning prizes was to make several transactions through a cellphone.
He said he made transactions from his CRDB Bank account to purchase electricity through Luku, airtime, decoders, water and other services.
“I stopped visiting the bank a long time ago because I access all services through SimBanking,” said Majeshi.
Other winners this month included Winnie Samany from Mbezi branch who scooped a solar light. Lilian Mngulwi from Azikiwe Branch won a Tablet, Peter Fundi and Eunice Nyanda both from Tanga who got a smart phone.
